It’s also available here: uk.bookshop.org/p/books/colo... - I always order via uk.bookshop.org if ordering books online - great way to support local book shops!

I've just been discharged from hospital, and almost everyone, from the team serving meals to the consultant, were immigrants, doing a brilliant job in an incredibly hard environment.

….. But the NHS, struggling as it is with cruel underfunding and neglect, still does an astonishing job.

Medium boobs here (though I bizarrely fall into their fuller bust bracket). I do have one of their fuller bust bras and it’s 99% great but there’s an annoying little (not removable afaik) clasp to convert it to a racerback which always catches in my hair, & that is a nope for me @emmachittenden.com

I love Boody stuff too, and haven’t noticed any deterioration on multiple washes, so it may well be a blend thing. Their bra/crop tops are brilliant from a (my, anyway) sensory perspective.

I'd use something like this - with the right planning, it could be great for pubs and punters.

My favourite was a colleague in an autism charity explaining to me about my triad of impairments. Here to “support” autistic people. Apparently.

I’m lucky enough to live a stone’s throw (almost, but not quite, literally) away from a lovely little bookshop (sister shop to @hungerfordbookshop.bsky.social) and I ordered from there as I always do. Indie bookshops are such a treasure.

I’m really sorry to be missing you in Hungerford this evening - had planned to be there, but the stars have not aligned. The book’s next up on my reading list though - can’t wait. Happy publication day!

It’s on the south west coast path - this is just past Golden Cap heading towards Lyme Regis/Charmouth. It’s absolutely gorgeous - one of my favourite places. The St Gabriels that’s signposted is a tiny ancient ruined chapel where cows sometimes graze.

TCP and coal tar soap for me. Pretty sure our van and later house were held together by those two magics.

Even in emails I regularly write, “I hope that makes sense,” just to be on the safe side.

I’m at that age too, & with elderly parents, ever more aware of how I want to leave things for my kids. As someone has mentioned, Swedish death cleaning (there’s a helpful book about it) is a great practice. And living next to a charity shop, as I do now, is fab for the practical side of letting go.

Hate it. I’m an autistic person. I particularly dislike “living with autism”, like my autism is a flatmate. Ridiculous.

Well, this explains a lot.

Cat people look at this and think, “Yes, no point at all replacing those for the foreseeable.” Would it be nice to have nice things? Yes. Is it worth having your belongings regularly shredded by a resident cat or several? Absolutely.

I live in rural Oxfordshire. For me, going into town is a 2 minute walk to the local market place, but going up to town has always been (when living in England anyway) central London.

I did struggle, initially, with my GP (you know, because appearing to be a perfectly functional adult & all that). In the autistic-led org where I work, there are *so many* late-diagnosed/late-IDed people who aren’t white men. I think we’re getting there but far too slowly.
