Ive realized that yeah, some our comps have issues ( i reallyyyy wanted red pen + bamboo to work lol, i still believe) but most of it has come down to us not playing to our weapon comp's goal or not playing off each other properly

my team's had a set practice schedule for so long that it hasn't been much of an issue.
our schedule doesn't make it easy to find scrims so we're sometimes flexible about it. I never add more practice hours than our 6 hrs/week and sometimes cancel practice for a tourney

personally, i would say yes. I think it would be difficult to get high participation from such a long event as that covers a whole morning/afternoon/evening, unless it was split into two days. it would require *a lot* of stamina to lock in for that long (but I'm also a baby for stamina haha)

this was interesting! i definitely find similarities with my current team, especially with how I ran tryouts. I'm not the og captain of the team but we've been around for 1.5 years and I'm hoping to make it last! being a busy person while making the team work is super important to me

we've had limited coaching beforehand that I personally didn't find valuable as it was focused incredibly on mechanical skill and running comps with "good" weapons. it felt like we were being told what to do all the time, like a laundry list, that was mostly negative.

I'm incredibly biased since you have coached my team a lot, but for us, coaching has led to breakthroughs for how we think about the game and play as a team. We've been supported with our experimentation. I also appreciate that the coaching has evolved as we have improved.

I'd like to see shorter tournaments, especially in low level. I'm tired of groups->bracket. I have stuff to do but still want to participate in at least some tourneys.
I love the idea of Deadline (can't play in it cause of the timing tho) since it has such a short run time.
