It's so weird being the northern neighbour watching this from up here where most coaches at all levels are immigrants from overseas

Just experienced an example of this One of the innocuous cat accounts I follow had some Idiot spout something hateful at it Idiot was muted for me already through a "All people who follow this hateful TERF are likely Hateful Idiots so shall be muted" list No way a corporate run list does that

In Canadian, that would be 500 miles north of the tree line

And also all the VERY republican doner type NFL owners who's stadiums are being used? No the teams and support staff will be allowed in.... and will have to leave as soon as they lose. Fans.... that's another matter and they will be stopped

The guy who folds whenever a large US corporation tells him to stop doing something stupid..... to point where his nickname is Taco..... that guy is going to tick off Coca-Cola, Visa and Lenovo?

Or - hear us out for a moment - saying something isn't what is needed People should just not take a job that will assist JKR in oppressing people & on another note Feminist publications should reconsider giving people cover for taking such a job

As an outsider, my largest observation watching USAian's response to overt fascism is a desire for perfection in order to appease a supposedly open to change portion of the oppressors & some internal feelings that can mostly be equated to being "non-sinfull" You all need to get over that shit

Its the degree of assimilation that is most irksome I've yet to encounter people from a single country where they DON'T sometimes think overtly or passively "Be more like us and you'd be better" and then spend time defining what that "like us" is But only USians expect people to fully assimilate

As she has no teeth, does she gum boxes? Just wondering if the inability to easily do that in this situation explains the sass

If you are contractually provided with more time off, you are justified to use it

Except for the pre-throne remarks which he is doing now - no way Charles does this bit without providing input & a defacto veto power. Carney didn't write this although likely he has seen it. The rest is the usual throne speech.

I use that feed because I love to learn from the conversations that develop without following thousands of people - it also allows me to choose when to look outside my own silo & It REALLY requires reducing my follow list to only those who I want to hear from & lots of muted words & active blocking

And this happened only 9 months ago - August

I suspect the change last year to the Following feed - although done to reduce clutter for large follower accounts - has also curated peoples feeds to be more selective of personal tastes bsky.app/profile/bsky...

In much of Canada, police no longer give out tickets for traffic infractions unless they are on a blitz In Toronto, the cops don't blitz for cars doing rolling stops - they do blitz for bicycles doing rolling stops

This is going to cause serious issues If somebody's home is within 50 metres, are they going to be told they can't put up a sign?

We seem to have our first known use of AI in a political context up here It's by a local business upset at a bus lane bsky.app/profile/shaw...

Not sure that's true given the 360 group regularly does "was that a foul/red/penalty for you?" conversations every week & there's a regular video series about refereeing decisions & PROP releases info on bad VAR decisions not just good ones BUT..this incident is being treated differently

As a person who lives within 100m of a busy arterial, I get what it feels like - all these people using my space Due to our population, that is every arterial in this city - lots of people travelling to/through & That's how all of this was designed We all go through everybody's neighbourhoods

So basically also the guardian deity for Monday mornings
comment in response to post
Its Bathurst It goes all the way up to Queensville sideroad and has done so since the 1800's It's ALWAYS been a thoroughfare for suburbanites ever since there were coach stations along it Major arterials in Toronto were never designed to be "our neighbourhood" for the locals only
comment in response to post
Yeh one thing I learned shortly after moving here is to never assume something is "Toronto" based wording because the majority of Torontonians come from somewhere else

"Stabs eyes out in HR" Subjective evaluations for known criteria instead of target based evals is lazy assed It actually takes them more time & effort as an HR team to fix the issues caused by subjective evals then it would be to create & roll out an objective target based system Fools ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿคฆ

A bit late to this Unfortunately for people staying downtown, a lot of the best eating in Toronto is in the strip malls of Scarborough, North York & Etobicoke e.g. federickrestaurant.com & debesroti.com

To add to the evidence Toronto 2018 was mostly the same roster as 2017 with only 1 starter leaving - Beitashour Missed the playoffs (but had 2 decent cup runs with one final & one win) Teams miss playoffs after cup wins for various reasons - not just roster rules

Yeh, there are good reasons to avoid follow farmers See this thread bsky.app/profile/skyw...
