It's a semi conductor for their quantum computer, but it's Microsoft saying it's a new form of matter, and they said 'Let's release Windows Vista, it's not terrible at all', so who knows how true it is.

Quantum computing is a thing, Microsoft are claiming theirs is better than the others currently available. To the point that they'll be commercially available in 5 years. All because of this material they've created.
