Bukele’s whole stance is that he won’t “smuggle a terrorist into the US.” He can’t make that argument if a US senator shows up with a court order & demands Abrego Garcia’s release.
I’m assuming Van Hollen wants the EU/UN/WTO’s eyes on this.

He’s let plenty of other American Politicians in. I agree that he’s probably gonna prevent it, but that’s just more ammo for Congress to do what needs to be done. Need a few Republicans to grow a pair and say they would like to attend as well.
