very funny that i have a quote tweet calling this “right wing bullshit” because few people can store leftovers for a week or two. “you should learn how to cook and be responsible with your money as much as that is possible” is not “right wing bullshit,” it is basic life advice.

Yes and no. Caring about your appearance is based and more cishet men should do it, but the suit and tie is a plague on mens' fashion and I will continue to avoid wearing one unless it is absolutely necessary.

I worked at a firm that hired young people fresh out of college and they had to have guidelines on "being professional" that included not having offensive body odor (medical exceptions allowed). A lot of the young men didn't bathe daily and didn't use deodorant. And wore the same shirt all week.

When I was a dumb 18 year old freshman in college, my first week, I blasted my boom box into the dorm's open courtyard from my window. It took the RA 90 seconds to track me down and then he read me the absolute riot act, the sum of which was, "grow the fuck up."

It was good advice then and now.
