Both armed dudes were Republicans. Second guy didn't get a shot.
The compromised Secret Service allowed that minor lucite shard xboo-boo boy a fist-pump photo op instead of doing their jobs and sitting on T until he could be hauled out prone.
I just keep thinking about that study on rich people not seeing us as people but that’s probably unrelated to them owning the media that keeps getting mad at us for wanting better stuff.
Only months ago?
I stopped watching TV news a whole decade ago aside from the occasional clip on Last Week Tonight or social media. Written news is way less fluff and easier to digest on the go.
It feels like everyday, more people are realizing how out of touch all legacy media is. They’re all paid from the same pockets and their message is what those stepping on our necks want it to be.
it's almost like political satire/cartoons/commentary has always existed and providing end-users endless streams of "the right to comment" in a post-internet world has combined to give rise to the paupers as well as the paid analytics to know exactly what is being said.
it’s weird how rich people are scared shitless of dying it’s like they really don’t want to part with their money and greedily demand more and more there’s no amount of money that is sufficient
“You can’t take it with you” so live longer so nobody else can have any. Sometimes the whole ST:TNG episode where a planet enacted mandatory euthenasia at set ages to provide resources for the new generation, makes sense. “Enforced Altruism”
I was adamantly told that a CEOs job was supposed to be “high stress” and “high risk”, I have no sympathy for their lie catching up with them in the most karmedic way possible.
Their job is only to appease shareholders. This guy's two investigations for obscene financial crimes likely felt stressful and risky.
UHC said it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I concur, sans the toe-curling encomiums.
Need a new email footer: "None of what we just stated in bullet points is intended to support or promote the copycat execution of CEOs or other executives as a form of replacement for school shootings in America."
Sure the media take sucks but frankly I'm damned disappointed in a lot of Democrats' responses, too. Dem leadership needs to acknowledge the legitimate anger voters feel and actually DO something about not only health care, but housing, climate change and a lot of other shit. Here's a new blueprint

I’m not eye rolling and making blowjob motions at an all hands meeting with my CEO though I might BADLY want to.
We dont need their public allyship. At this point millions of us shut our TVs off a month ago and will probably never go back.

I havent had cable TV at all since 2007 so we’re in the same boat of sorts
You and I snowballed with millions of other viewers after the election though and it’s a thing to behold.
I am only supporting independent media now.
it’s the new
Profits > people
People live in their own bubble and that's okay.
It only becomes a problem when it affects the rest of us.
