Abundance is such a funny political slogan. “What’s another word for wealth but three syllables long and something most people wouldn’t use in casual conversation?”

"I think what we need is a more of an abundance agenda" is going to be a great way to figure out who's the asshole at the party for a few months at least.
The only slogans Americans are
interested in are~
People Before Profits
and Tax The Rich
The Co-Presidents think they’re
going to defund
us, but we’ll see who
gets defunded, in the end.
I mean wealth is something our economy is very good at making already, it’s just not accessible to the average person.
We need to make necessities abundant for the average person, abundant affordable housing, abundant affordable healthcare, abundant carbon minimal transportation, etc.
lol no. That is absolutely not the point Ezra is making in the slightest if that’s who you are referring to.
The point is that current liberal politics have helped create scarcity of housing, resources, healthcare, education and a mindset of pricing out regular people from reasonable living.
Cool story. Right now he’s saying more interesting things than about 90% of liberal/left thinkers and he at least feels honest about the shortcomings of current liberal politics. I’d rather dems listen to him than most of the other current “thinkers”.
Abundance is a big thing in Bible circles. God is always going to - but not just yet, abundance them.
It's like the word freedom in civil rights circles.
Yeah, it used to be god would comfort you and help you endure.
Now he hurts your enemies or your bitchy waitress because he hates sin. God causes them pain so they reevaluate their lives and repent. Meanwhile he gets you new cars and cancer cures because you love him.
It's a toddler view of God.
It’s straight out of the mega-donor think tanks in a strained effort to quell the “eat the rich” momentum gaining from the center, center left and center right. Almost ten years into resisting this movement and its cost them wins in nearly every election.
Alexa, do the right-wing Christians believe in the golden rule?
"Yes, right-wing Christians generally believe in the Golden Rule..The Golden Rule is often summarized as "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (Matthew 7:12, Luke 6:31)[1]."
Yea it's annoying. I kind of like him, but he started writing this book Abundance back when Biden was president, criticizing the dem party, saying they needed to shift to this messaging, and he's so committed to that worldview that he's acting like everything would be fixed if dems did that.
It completely ignores the election anomolies raised by Election Truth Alliance. There might be some value in what he is saying, but better messaging won't fix vote manipulation.
“Wealth” is an euphemism in itself. These people are not “wealthy”, they are money hoarders. They are a parasitic extraction class that doesn’t create anything and just robs and pillages anything they can get their hands on.
I guess he also missed thousands of articles, books, chapters, working papers, etc. that MMT scholars (alone or in collaboration with others) have written or recorded over many decades.
It is code for "Giving all the Money to the Folks on Wall Street" "I went up there to Wall Street and I told them Boys to just Stop with all the Abundance" ~Hillary on Campaign Trail in 2007 right before the 2008 Financial Collapse of Wall Street who was subsequently completely Bailed out by Obama.
It will be a great contrast to the "destitution" and "eat shit" agendas I'm sure. We all want abundance. But not with the failed neoliberal ideology that ultimately got us to Trump.
I don’t think it’s a magic word but what I think it does well is succinctly point out that we could have a pretty great standard of living for all Americans without breaking a sweat, if that didn’t run contrary to some folks’ interests
Other, smarter people have already “invented” this concept w more concrete, data driven solutions. It’s called degrowth & a well-being economy. But ppl high on their own farts can’t accept they aren’t as cutting edge & “pragmatic” as they believed themselves to be so they reinvented The Secret.
Republicans wage an all-out economic war, Democrats are stuck playing defense in a culture war trap. Billionaires are rigging the system, and Trump’s second term is their golden ticket. The fight isn’t left vs. right—it’s the ultra-rich vs. everyone else.
Abundance is more than enough to go around. It implies there's enough for everybody. Wealth feels more like a solo pursuit. Maybe they should have called the book Every Man a Gadzillionaire.

Throw it around all the time.
Wouldn't you?

"In a right-wing Christian context, the concept of abundance is often tied to the idea of prosperity and material blessings as a sign of God's favor."
"Yes, right-wing Christians generally believe in the Golden Rule..The Golden Rule is often summarized as "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (Matthew 7:12, Luke 6:31)[1]."
So, not practicing what they preach. Thanks.

2 - You have to get rid of him NOW. Waiting longer will be much harder to fix the damage.
3 - A world war or a nuclear attack on you might end everything. He's creating enemies. Ask Macron.
I don't think you want no.3!!
Don't you remember the TV commercial for pasta sauce "Abondanza!" ?
