As a survivor in her 40s, you're best off finding a community of something that takes such a commitment the mums don't have time. For me it was a rowing team (so many bogs, so much shrieking, definitely moonlight, cursing of enemies)

As a painfully queer, monstrous individual (not yet in her 30s herself,) just about my WHOLE social network does not want kids. I'd suggest spending time with the queers, weirdos, and monsters. Very cool folks. You'll probably find a few out in the bogs and woods

We definitely need this. It's a weird space to be in when so many peers have lives centred around children, so you sort of have to forge your own life path. I would come along, if I was in Ireland. I'm not afraid of bogs or midnight.

If you hang out with your friends with kids you’ll find your decision to not have children might be reinforced. Given the social pressures to have kids I applaud those who don’t because they feel it isn’t right for them.
