I pondered that one, too. I assume they refer to the idea you can track where ,when, and how far you ran and then share your route with others.
As opposed to a reliance on GPS to get yourself home after you've run randomly off into the wild.

I'll say this. I liked when I got my real GPS and it enabled me to purposely go into a densely packed urban area with an old gothic quarter without worrying if I'd get lost. The rumors about it were false though. It wasn't that hard to navigate and there were no heroine needles anywhere.

Well I run a pretty fixed route. I confess I measured it on Microsoft Streets and Trips later on to see that it is 3 miles and where the mile points and mid point is. I kinda wish I hadn't now because it makes it seem longer.

Should I upload a video of my going 620 mph over Milwaukee with a wicked tail wind as we rode the jet stream? Flight attendant had an Ipad he insisted had "GPS". It didn't have a real satellite GPS and thought it was cool my Garmin was tracking our location from satellites.

Oh I do this quite often. I dont own a phone so when I have to leave the house to go to my appointments, I have to make sure that everything has been arranged before I go.
