A source at FDA tells me they got both their separation notice and their employee evaluation yesterday. The separation notice said they were being let go for poor performance. And yet the employee evaluation was exceptional.

Someone on this platform shared that one of their contacts replied to the email firing them with their latest exceptional evaluation and they got their job back.
If ever there were a shot at actually successfully fighting the nebulous "poor performance" excuse for being fired without actual cause, this and the myriad others right now are probably it.
It would be great if these employees could post those documents, redacting names and other identifying information, so that people can see what’s happening, (but I would completely understand and reticence to do that).
I'd love to see all the FDA and other Fed employees that have been illegally fired start a class action lawsuit individually naming Trump, Musk, and each and every one of Musk's goon squad of post-pubescent computer incels.

I don't understand why they're calling it poor performance instead of downsizing. Are they hoping to punish these workers further by tainting their employment history?
Because they’re trying to paint a picture of bloated idiotic big government full of corruption, which don’t get me wrong exists, but it’s much harder to do when your actual goal is removing people who just don’t agree with you and trying to make them look bad when they aren’t
By any chance, were they still probationary? Not excusing it, but there have been reports that the DOGE Douche Squad members don’t understand the use of probationary in that context.
Granted, they’re seizing on any excuse, but it would seem especially ridiculous if they did not understand the concept of a probationary employee and equated that to poor performance, as has been indicated by others

In my decades of buying my own groceries, I always felt pretty safe buying potatoes. I think maybe some farmers are pissed too. This is a potato partially eaten by a rat, I got in a bag just a few days ago from a major grocery store chain after the FDA Inspector General had been fired.

To help people, it should be pointed out that these come from two different levels. The evaluations are done by the direct supervisor in a local office. All firings are being directed by Musk through OPM to the Department. Probationary employees have little protection but still need justification.
They are very fortunate to have that contradictory documentation and for the fact that so many of them have the same discrepancies. I don’t know that any of the thousands of folks this has happened to will ever get justice, but hopefully *someday* this will prove helpful. What a nightmare.

The child’s mother said he has been withholding the child from her for months, and I’m sure he is doing this to mess with her, in part. I also think he’s keeping the kid close because he’s got such a mouth on him.

It will help when applying for unemployment and possibly for a law suit
I'd rather tax $ went to lawsuit settlements for wrongful termination than into either of those monster's pockets.
