It is possible for folks to be both relieved/excited about having better political choices AND maintain a strong critique of those choices. I promise that every time someone expresses a positive feeling about something it doesn’t mean their analysis has gone out the window.

Joy and excitment about potentially good things happening doesn't mean you can't be angry and want other things to change, in fact the joy often fuels it
This is why people who don't go to protests don't understand that when you go to them, the people are often supporting a cause and people they legitimately care deeply about, and clearly hopeful it can change. It's not all rage and bitterness.

It not only makes my life better but is simply more productive. It doesn't always work and I am not blind to bad thing happening, but it helps
