An appeals court has ruled that Idaho can enforce most of its anti-abortion travel ban, making it the first state in the nation to do so.

Build that wall 🙄
It’s 100% an unjust fascist law. One worth breaking and subverting at every chance. But @boombutton.bsky.social is right, you proudly announcing the intent to do so on the internet in advance is peak stupidity.

The issue is transporting a minor you do not have custody over, right?
Thanks for the clarification.
Women are no property!
Damn
American Sharia Law.
Your oppression is their profession
So what if people want to leave Idaho for other reasons, like, say, plunging itself back into the middle ages?
How about international travel? E.g. for your vacation before birth
Interstate home moves?
Like moving together
It seems like this doesn't only affect anyone who wants+needs an abortion, but also every other pregnant person.
(I dont ve time for a deep dive rn,thx for a kind answer)

Note the stat about Idaho.
it's not noticeable on the outside (yet) in many cases. So get ready for some laws that will not only target those women but ALL women.
In Numbers 5:21, a priest causes an abortion (miscarry) in god’s name:
here the priest is to put the woman under this curse-“May the Lord cause you to become a curse among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell.
Not voting has consequences
You can either accept this reality or lie to yourself, that the majority is actually against this, when they very clearly aren't.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_United_States_presidential_election
At least to the extent it was too much work to vote against it.
What's next?
Tracking and arresting Idaho men crossing the state line to patronize Nevada's legal brothels?
FAT CHANCE OF THAT!
chattel I mean 🐄.🤮
Yearly, millions of women suffer the trauma & humiliation of sexual violence-a crisis affecting families, communities, & societies worldwide.
Help us bring rapists to justice & accountable for their crimes! https://gofund.me/a03e01aa
Interstate travel is a hallmark of our country
Cop: "Caught her with her mother on Highway 84 - I don't care if she's a minor, she's staying right here and she's having that baby, if I have to drag it out her myself!"
"..if I have to drag it out of her myself" 😆
Idaho Voters think trapping citizens within the state is a good idea. 👍
Traveling alone? Or are they trying to dictate travel for adult women?

I'm particularly interested in starting a Jennifer chapter. These guys need to start watching their backs.

I don't have much hope this SCOTUS will preserve precedent.
I know this, and I didn't even grow up in the church. So what's their excuse?
May not be much, but it’s something I can do
I also wonder if there are any travel funds set up for Idaho residents who need to travel across the border for non-specific reasons.

"I'm regular" is all you say.

So if you think the logistics are a gotcha, it’s already in place
Or teachers and counselors will be obligate reporters
It’s gonna be fuckery
Or I guess there’s a few rich white ladies who want a little fall of joy

Not gonna happen. It’s a grift
Not to mention the large number of people in Southern Oregon (Ashland/Medford area) that would be legally moved without compensation?
Jackson County, where Medford and Ashland are, hasn't endorsed the plan. And they don't want Bend, either, so it's actually worse than you paint it.
So basically they think Idaho wants those parts of the state? For what? The electoral success it would yield them and some more bills of their own? 💀 💀
Then again, costs might go down for the rest of us :-p
(Of course they will try!)
They're liars and cheats. We know what they want, and we know they don't care about anything other than getting that.
Absolute coward behaviour
Whoever told you that is your enemy
Here's where it stands now. If Im reading this right, its mostly aimed at out of state adults trying to help teenagers who have been acting like teenagers.
There is literally no means of enforcing it without the violation of state and constitutional rights. American citizens cannot be held captive by a state.
Canadian medical facilities cannot provide any personal info on medical treatments and Idaho cannot compel them to.
The people who don't have the rights to travel. Who cares about the professionals or the states themselves?
For that matter, why would anyone considering colleges, no matter the degree, want to attend in red states with draconian laws in place.
