For me it’s being behind early in a co-op then pulling it out. Thunderbirds and Pandemic Legacy spring to mind as enabling those moments for me.

During the Zoom Era, my once in a blue moon gaming group gathered online to play Scrawl (a more adult version of Telestrations)

- perfect 25 at Hanabi
- having a crazy combo fire off in MtG (or pretty much any other CCG) to the spectacle of onlookers
- similarly, having a crazy engine kick off e.g. Dominion
- unhinged (or other Un MtG sets)
- trying a house rule that improves a game for you greatly

I was recently on a Jury for 10 weeks. There were some dark dark moments during the trial. One of the things that kept me sane was that on Wednesday nights I knew I'd get to sit around a table, play games and laugh at myself. That's pretty life affirming stuff.

I don't have a specific game. Just a moment, after everything I went through a few years back, when I was playing a game with my friends and my partner in my game room. They were all laughing at something and for that moment I felt like the luckiest person in the world that this was my life.

I played K2 a fair bit a few years back. The dread of knowing your climber would die on the mountain and you could do nothing to save them, that was a profound revelation to me. That a game could do that, induce that dread. It was really astonishing. (More death-affirming but it is the same coin.)
