My LO turns 2 next month. Gift ideas? (Aside from the usual, eg clothes, books, jigsaws, annual memberships etc). We have a small house and garden so nothing too big lol

Mine got magnetic tiles (we got the Connetix ones) for his second birthday. He found them tricky at first but they soon became an absolute staple of our play. They’re so versatile.
These had a very good shelf life here. Wooden train track too, though has been a bit hit and miss across children and needs you to lay it out at first.
Anything role play! My youngest is 2 and this part of playing has exploded this year. We got her a broom, superhero masks/capes, tea set, doctors kit, binoculars
Magnetic tiles were a hit, the asda shop whilst is a big item is small, tonies box is on our wish list, tools to help in the kitchen, scooter, balance bike, we also have an icecream stand the size of a shoe box 👍🏻
Hand puppets were a fave with mine at that age. We made little puppet shows by cutting out boxes. Saying that, she used to love decorating the boxes with crayons too. Aquadoodles were also great - all the creativity and no mess!
Dress up - good for role play, dentist/doctor box kits - loved them role playing, pram with dolly - both loved pushing a dolly around in a pram, fish - first pet, Lego - larger ones, small trampoline - just some my loved whilst growing up.

When I say it's still played with, I definitely mean by him and not just me...
You?
Have more Grimms/Grapat toys than I care to admit to.
