I strongly disagree on the boring job part... especially one that is working for anyone but myself. Work self employed in field of special interest? THAT'S more like it. Be able to be creative in direction (may be the ADHD part) and choose my own hours and work with my energy rather than 9-5? YUP!

Nice that you had the option. My only option "out" was to take a day of sick leave. I was in the workplace to do a job. I didn't need or want to be "friends" with everyone working there. I was always courteous and tried to be a pro. I didn't join a flipping Brownie troop to get social rewards.
