"I tweeted a crime but then I deleted it" is not, actually, a defense.

10:50 a.m.: WisDems issue a press release saying Elon Musk "committed a blatant felony" in his post about his plans to "hand over two checks for a million dollars each" in Wisconsin on Sunday.
Just over a half hour later, reports show Musk deleted the tweet.

His argument will once again be that he's not paying for the signatures but paying for spokespeople, which.... Come on now.
Honest question.
Lock him up and melt the key!

It's a novel approach but I think we should try it.
You would reach more people, when you add a good description into the Alt-text field.
That is pretty easy, especially, when your image just contain text.
This way, you support visually impaired people and everyone else, who rely on a good filled Alt-text.

He & his lawyers knew. Intentional to get the press coverage.

I'd disagree, but I'm doubtful the Wisconsin AG is going to waste taxpayer resources on it since he didn't pay anyone.
Just like offering to sell a government thumb drive is a crime, but prosecution isn't going to bother until they actually show up expecting to get paid.
(Yes I've seen that DOD "Information Awareness" PowerPoint one (or several) too many times in my life. )
As I understand, no one's been paid yet.
That to me is where the difficulty lies.
That and he's in DC and they would deny WI extradition.
And that is not how interstate extradition works, I'm sorry but you're really going off here in ways you don't know what you're talking about.
It shouldn't be, but it is.
I thought I remembered that in 2024, but I may be mistaken.
And now, I have to ask - has anyone actually come forward with proof that they've gotten one of these checks?
Because we all know he has no carnal knowledge of the truth.
