Just watched it with my wife and one of my sons
This afternoon. It was awesome! Ariana Grande can sing, dance and act with the best of them. Cynthia Erivo was astounding! Can’t wait to see Wicked 2.
Thought it was super good, although in my opinion some of the songs are not the strongest compared to other big musicals. But it’s well done and there are a couple of surprise appearances that made me so, so happy. You’ll see.
Me too but sadly we're out in the boonies w/no theaters playing this within 90 miles & winter.. i am sadly going to have to either wait until one of our small theaters can get it or it comes out streaming. I love where i live the rest of the year but winters here suck. Ya'll enjoy it for me, please?
Are your daughters dressing up? My friend went and she dressed up in a black evening gown with emerald eye makeup to celebrate Elphaba and she saw a slew of Galindas.
We are going next week but I don't think we are going to dress up. Pretty sure we'll be in sweats.

I loved it 😍 and my 16 year old daughter loved it. My 21 year old said she liked it but it gave off “musical theater vibes”. I told her it was based on the broadway musical production so yes it would.
We took our two kids to see it live at the Fox in St Louis when they were in middle school. Then over Thanksgiving I took our two college aged kids to see the movie. We all cried. We also vowed to see the second film together. I think you will love it.
It is a nice musical but this movie is too long when you think of the play. 2 hours plus for part 1. Plus the fact that part 2 won’t be out for another year. Kind of ruined the movie for me.
I agree wholeheartedly, saw it today, it is overhyped imo. The visuals, subtle humor and timely messaging were ok but songs way too long. When #2 is released I will wait till it is streaming.
I’ll actively avoid! I’m sorry, but saving the ickle baby lion(?) with the previously shallow, handsome prince, because everyone else is too shallow to care about an evil (boo!) plan to imprison intelligent creatures - do me a favour! Rolleyes to infinity!
I hope it is as delightful as the off Broadway show that I saw. Great entertainment and some positive "lessons" of being who you're supposed to be...🔥💖🏳️🌈
I don’t know about crying. However, they are going to have a great time. There is a part 2. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait three years for it to come out.
I saw Wicked last weekend. Loved it! The political undertones are poignant for today's climate. Not a lot has changed since the original book was written.
Absolutely LOVED it. I’ve seen it twice already. I had high hopes, because I love the Broadway version. It went beyond my expectations. Just remember it is just the first act. Part 2 comes out next November. The ending of part 1 is epic. 🩷💚

We saw the play on the Westside in London years ago; they knew what to expect.
