The "magic" of this whole charade is to pin the bill on the banks which is, in effect, pinning it on the government (in the form of the Federal Reserve) and ultimately the taxpayer; the reason it works is you're only doing it a few companies at a time. It's slow motion bailout for investors.

The whole point of private equity is "buy all the stock, pin the loans you took out to buy it on the business you're buying, sell everything that's not nailed down, burn the remains and claim on the insurance, and then have the business declare bankruptcy." Once it's bought, the price is irrelevant.

We have multiple pharmacies where I live, if someone refuses to fill an Rx. I have 3 other big box chain and 2 independent within 3 miles so it's just loss of business for them.

But I also live at the "civilized" and "inbred" county line, lots of inbred work around here.

My son's Dr. said she reported him, we called the state and CVS and all told us "nothing wrong was done". (State by state from my understanding)
