Entirely this: I’d add that being serious about climate change is a hygiene factor for many voters. In not a single UK constituency does concern about climate drop below 50% - hitting 68% in Clacton. There’s a debate on the ‘how’ and particularly how to do it fairly but much less on the principle.

Labour somehow need to combat that narrative by improving the economy and public services. Moving right is a dead end.
Phrases like 'climate conscience' are a hindrance not a help. We need to change our language.
People recycle without major personal benefit, IF it's doorstep & info is provided. NOT if six city blocks away & zero info (city centre where I live).
In a work environment a good example would be an office bathroom. You would never think “wow I appreciate the bathroom so much” but you would think “what the hell, there’s no bathroom” if there wasn’t one
Net Zero remains a legally binding target.
