Astounding that the media is covering the effort to install Lara Trump as a US senator credulously, as if it’s not one of the most corrupt power moves we’ve seen in decades in US politics. Imagine how they would covered Clinton pressing the AR Gov to appoint Chelsea a Senator!?

Is what they-- the political press and the viewpoints it funnels-- would shout if the Clintons were involved.
Banana Republic. Kakistocracy.
Chelsea has a brain.
And isn't obviously corrupt.
Nepotism is only part of what makes the Lara choice so awful.

Trump just does EVERYTHING in the open
And Trump pardoned him.
Just listen to her music. Then try not throwing yourself off a bridge. The cabinet hires are like a casting call for the most unqualified people that exist. This time it’s just the creeps
The onus now falls on the consumer for being foolish enough to keep consuming that new source. But acting shocked in any way is pathetically naive.
There wasn’t even an actual backlash to a real story about DEI, they just made some shit up about it and projected it. 2021 CRT,2022 groomers , 2023 DEI… boogeymen
Obviously neither trust Trump.

Some stepped down.
Some did not run again.
But we don’t have those journalists in the big networks anymore.
Where are our warriors?
Disobey.
We wouldn’t know
1/100th of what he does without them.
It’s not.
I’m sure it will happen.
I mean I couldn’t do it, but it’s not qualifying for office levels of skill.
It suggests that the media reports and that is it. If leaders say the earth is flat the media’s job isn’t to simply report that, but to rebut it with facts.
Changing the crux of the convo is a disinfo tactic. Be better.

"Donald Trump should not be judged by conventional standards of ethics."
Which devolved into:
"Nothing done by Donald Trump should ever be considered wrong."
The thing is, this has an effect on the rest of the population that isn't terminally politics-brained; they see Trump not getting bad press, and assume he's not really that bad.
Are we ever gonna stop this “why isn’t the media covering this accurately?!” Thing?
At most we can change it into a broader statement: "The media isn't covering this accurately. Again."
This won’t change until private media is a thing of the past.
I.E. never.
We can't stop pointing it out.
(And we need to support alternate news sources, etc.)
Of course, that was before President Trump taught us not to accept free and fair elections.

Can we stand up for reality and against the authoritarians? Ffs, please.
Trump installs his daughter-in-law in charge of the GOP and then creates a Senate vacancy so she can take the seat, and it's Tuesday.
Trump brought in Kushner to bring peace to the Middle East. 😅 He had his daughter going to serious functions with world leaders where she got laughed at and his sons Beavis and Butthead were hanging about.
