I don't think they're aiming that high. I think they'd be perfectly happy to tear gas them into submission. Or into the hospital. They're using some green stuff that creates stronger reactions for longer.
That’s great to hear I took the E train into downtown thinking I would just catch the end of the protest there and then jump back on it to go out to the Pasadena one… But the downtown LA one was going so strong that I decided to stay, glad I did
They want to be loved and they want their people to express that love en masse. When that isn't happening, it can only be because the simple, foolish people have been duped by evil people who seek to rob the dictator of the adoration naturally due him.
And so, initially, he tries to root out and destroy those evil ones, to free the good people to see him as the clever and wonderful leader he is.
This won't succeed, however, unless it is an especially brutal repression of simple, unarmed people or is in an advanced totalitarian surveillance state.
And so, eventually, the Dictator comes to realize that it wasn't just the agitators who were evil, but all the people. They are like poorly bred animals and must be punished brutally to keep them productive, even if they'll never rise to appreciate him as he deserves.
he's trying to instill fear and failing like bone spurs. he operates like a coward and no parade can shake him of that truth. He will always be the villain no matter how much photoshop he plays with
True. I think they were hoping to make us submit from fear. Instead, over 11 million turned out mad, including an 80,000 person march in St. Paul after the horrible assassinations this morning.
Respectfully, if they were going to learn that lesson, they would have learned it after over a century of using it on crowds of civilians. Still doesn’t stop them from trying though!

Heard the 2 groups of officers ended up gassing each others with protesters in the middle
It was a party at City Hall
Then it turned into a march to the Fed Building
We stoped just short by the mounted police, moved back to the intersection. Then with no warning or instructions tear-gassed back to 1st Street
I was able to get out before they gassed there
This won't succeed, however, unless it is an especially brutal repression of simple, unarmed people or is in an advanced totalitarian surveillance state.
This *might* be what we have in the current president. He does seem incapable of believing he's ever made a mistake.

It makes you want to stick a Machete in your attackers forehead.
