cuts got our social media ppl too. they look at analytics but things like involved parsing of SEO and links? The few still tasked with doing it are so buried under work that stuff just doesn’t get done. When you have fewer people, the same amount of work doesn’t get done.

FWIW, Substack has already added Bluesky to their default sharing tool, Ryan.

We've actually scheduled this as the next thing after we're done rolling out gift subscriptions ahead of Xmas. It's not a statement. It's just more effective. And we won't remove Twitter. But it's a big priority for us to stand up Bluesky sharing. Not clear to me whether they have an official widget

I am no media expert, but I believe the tipping Point will be when "an event" occurs that everyone suddenly turns to BlueSky for the realtime news like they used to do with Twitter.
I appreciate that's circular since BlueSky needs the critical mass of media & reporters to meet that criteria.
