Lots of large account former blue checks keep pushing Threads, to follow them there so I suspect that Meta is paying them for engagement. Threads is terrible, Spoutible is having problems getting journalists to join, clunky. Bluesky can be Twitter 2.0 but needs Lists! I need to curate my own feed!
there was an article on The Verge today that was like "Threads is adding features we like" and I was like "oh, right, Threads is technically still a thing."
I did not read the article to find out if it is where all the Metaverse's legs went.
It’s like that episode of Mystery Science Theater where Mike and the Bots created cardboard cutouts of themselves with pre-recorded riffs so they could escape the Satellite but instead of a satellite it’s a website
It is fine for having conversations with mutuals from Instagram without using the weirdo Insta comment system (so, if you want to post pictures in your reply or whatever) but otherwise it's a ghost town.
Every once in a while I’ll see threads posts on Insta and not once have I ever felt the remotest desire log on and see the rest. At least Instagram you get cute animal pics and craft ideas
I open Bluesky more often.
Threads has higher volume.
I’m down to just these two now.
Started at CounterSocial, tried Spoutible, never did Mastodon.
I know I’m forgetting some, but it’s a blur.
Here is better because you cannot get a handle on how to follow the news over there. They are also censoring content like they do on insta and facebook.

This, however, I like enough that I pretty much stopped going to the former Birdapp after getting in here. Hell, I've barely blocked anyone here.
