PMQs now is a perfect illustration of why I had so hoped the Lib Dems would succeed in pushing the Tories to third place in the GE.
We could have had a weekly PMQs with a sensible opposition focused on the environment, protecting the vulnerable, and improving our ties with Europe.
Embarrassing.
My disappointment with the current government's priorities has convinced me that ALL MPs have the skills necessary to get elected, but unfortunately none of them seem to have the skills for running the country. I always thought this applied only to the Tories, but I am loosing faith in Labour now.
This is the product of reality TV. When we had absolutely rubbish acts on TV talent shows. Where some people, without a trace of talent, had the confidence to perform in front of the nation; when rejected by the judges, they were shocked. In politics, they have a part of MSM cheering them on.
I don't really think Jenrick would've been the best candidate for leader of the conservatives but how on earth did he lose to Kemi will never make sense to me. James Cleverly in my opinion should've won.
Serious case for Ed Davey to get 3 questions and Badenoch one less. You need to think who was asking the Qs, Davey on th NHS and Ukraine or Badenoch on culture wars banf.
Her evidence for the post office inquiry showed us exactly who she is. Even the Counsel couldn’t believe her evidence that she thinks to be seen doing something is equal to actually doing something. Johnson with neat hair.
She's like universal credit and the national living wage. An example of the Tories trying to say slapping a name on something makes it the thing it's called. "Rishi Sunak wasn't bad enough, well here's someone who is!". Except she's far too ineffective to actually be bad enough.
Well I’m happy to call myself working class and have been all my life…Kemi made me laugh when she claimed that she was briefly working class when she tried working at McDonalds. I’d love to know what her work mates (if she had time to make any) thought of her while she was there!
I see people making a comment that #KeirStarmer got angry, but I wonder if he was looking at #kemikazi & thinking that he has a teenage daughter who he would be ashamed of if she debated as pathetically as the LOTO. 🙄
Don't forget Theresa May and the lettuce were considered super women by the press and party until reality hit. Badenoch has lots of buttons to press, little does she know they're not wired up.Nobodys interested.
I attended the Post Office Enquiry on Monday and witnessed this for myself . I feel for the team that actually has to work with her . I would imagine that in her own eyes she can do no wrong .
Isn't #bluesky meant to be a kinder platform of debate?
Kemi has her own opinions, that she is welcome to. The area of debate should be about promoting a better opinion surely? To argue against a point of view takes us down a bad path.
I've just been sat in a pub in rural Lincolnshire where two old white guys were discussing how the power of her intellect crushed Starmer today. That's the Daily Mail for you.
Don’t think I can four bear 🐻 her snidey smarmy smug arrogant argumentative ‘petulant’ voice / attitude / face, enough to watch PMQ’s anymore - she is like a million fingernails scraping a million chalk boards… It’s a No from me!
I think Kemi reminds me of Guy Goma, the unfortunate chap who arrived for a job interview at the BBC and was pushed out in front of a live cameras to be asked about a his opinion on the legal case involving Apple.
Totally lost, but making a go of it.
Don’t make the mistake of underestimating her potential to damage our country. She has the press, Tufton street and the oligarchs behind her. If they can make Lizy T. PM we must be on guard.
Watched #PMQs for the first time in ages. Starmer in total control and Badenoch seems to have absolutely nothing to offer. Also a great response to Farage's nonsense.
Watching Kemi Badenoch is always good for a laugh. Reminds me of those new grads on the corporate fast track making a right prick of themselves in a meeting.....
She’s embarrassing. Childish. Like she never progressed from secondary school debating class. Not even sixth form standard. Still, long may she remain leader of the disgraced and unelectable Tory party.
Absolutely 💯.
However, Laura's beautiful launderette will be back on Sunday to scrub clean the stain of Trussness away.
The fall from the peak of Mnt Stupid is a very long drop. Even Laura can't provide a comfortable landing even though she's renowned for her softest landings softeners.
That’s why I don’t think she’ll ‘learn on the job’. She’s far too pleased with herself and, like Truss, seems to totally lack any self awareness. If she watched her PMQs performances back she’d love her own work!
She's a walking, talking advertisement for the dangers of falling down a youtube rabbit hole. Great entertainment watching the hamster wheel in her brain trying to remember culture wars talking points.
She reminds me of the first year lawyer who, in his annual review when told he needed to pay more attention to detail, replied that he saw himself as a “big picture man”.
What I find astounding is, we knew this already! The fact that the torys elected her can only prove that they are, as a party, completely and utterly out of touch with us 'ordinary' folks. Their witticisms, mannerisms, attitudes and allies will make them untouchable for decades. (I hope and pray).
Urgh. Used to be our MP. As her constituent, raising concerns regards her government's policies, she was arrogant and dismissive. Her predecessor on the other hand was nothing but cordial, even if we disagreed. At least he took your concerns on board. Quite the difference in representation.

We've got some very "interesting" times ahead of us.

As well as everything else
Hammer blow.
Let’s hope blue sky keeps sensible and kind xxx ju
Kemi is the Ralf Ragnnick era.

Although saying that, nothing she does justifies the word "think".

Better opinions. Better solutions.

Delusions of grandeur.
I gave her 9 months when she got elected. I think I over shot.
Totally lost, but making a go of it.
Badenoch: "Why won't the Prime Minister tell us what colour the banana is??"
Everyone watching: 🤦
Patterns emerging in how these people get into positions of power?
I thought it an appropriate , descriptive, really useful , 17th century word available to describe how she interacts with, pretty much, everybody
Cringeworthy stuff.
Almost....
Femi was not impressed.

She sounded hopelessly out of her depth but she'll think she smashed it out of the park.

I bet her head whistles in high wind 😳
