So, wait. For basically ever, men were earning way more than their female counterparts, and the messaging was that women were "too emotional" or whatever. And the second women start earning more than men, men completely lose their shit and it's a "crisis" "gripping" them? What a bunch of losers.

But these men won't even comply with traditional masculinity. You want to be the "provider" and "protector" of a family you have work hard and learn skills. Women are! These men refuse to do anything to improve themselves and then get mad at others about it.
Oof, ouch, my petard! How could it betray me like this?!?!?
They've been gaslighting women and themselves into a false narrative forever.
I can’t tell if the intention of the article author was rage bait to draw readers in or just willfully stupid to frame this problem with a piddling wage discrepancy.
Apparently the "crisis" is that women with
MORE EDUCATION
MORE SKILL
MORE EXPERIENCE
are making more than entry level bros--for the first time ever.
mad at themselves because mistakes were not acceptable when they were growing up. But this does NOT at all excuse that behavior toward you.
Here's one that suggests that girls tend to suffer more physical abuse than boys

Men are pissed that they have to actually COMPETE with women for money!
If the approach was more like "please help," this would probably get a way different response
And the reverse is never a crisis, it's ugly stereotypes and the "natural order."
And also: not sure this British report applies to the US.
Men just have to step up their game when there is an equal playing field.
So they would learn something instead of entitlement.
But i guess some men are too delicate to endure the strain of that these days
Well you see, they were told at every turn they were way more awesome then women, so they never bothered to actually improve themselves or their skills. Business learned fratboys make shitty workers, the rest is JD Vance.
When I married my wife she made more than me. It was never an issue. We are partners. 25 years later, I make more than her now but we still are partners. I’ve never been in crisis nor has she.

That ain't an option but they aren't adapting. Womens role has been in flux for decades but we are somehow succeeding.
I think male influencers do a tonne of harm & it's hurting boys. Peterson & Tate don't seem great for succeeding in the workplace. We've had over a decade of these chuds.
Seems more like a pattern of personal problems to me.
Men are falling behind in multiple metrics, but when they try to talk about it, or heaven forbid, express their feelings on the matter, they're called "a bunch of losers."
We blame society-wide problems on the individuals.
