You know, I'd be a lot more amenable to the idea that Bluesky is a bubble if I didn't go over to Twitter and see people frantically sharing anonymously sourced pieces and private statements all the time and acting like the sky is falling.

And like, everything is a bubble, but at least my Bluesky feed has people disagreeing and discussing instead of pointing to what could be reasonably called a palace intrigue piece that would have been laughed at in the Trump years and saying "See I'm right"
It's not "huffing copium" or whatever to push back against the worst possible read of a situation, or the most cynical view. That's the way to stay sane in darker times, but it seems like there's a lot of people who don't want to accept that.
COVID made me realize that staying tuned-in 24/7 was actively detrimental to my well-being; I couldn't process the New York news (etc) and then go to work in the ICU
Harris does a little better, a poll showed her +5 in a few swings. However, i feel once the convention is done, and biden is offical, his numbers will change. Atm all polls except az which is odd are in the moe, and esentually a tie
