There is nothing I would enjoy more than responding to a letter like this. While the correct response is to do nothing and just ignore it, I’d be tempted to respond with “pound sand.” There isn’t a damn thing Martin can do.
Why do they have time for this nonsense when planes are falling out of the sky or colliding every other day, viral illness has a chokehold on everything and half the country is reeling from serial natural disasters? Good gravy
If you attempt to solve real problems and fail, that makes you look bad. But if you instead focus solely on problems you invent, you can claim that you've solved them whenever you want.
The short version: the lawyer saw fans throwing paper airplanes at a game and threatened a future lawsuit if the team didn't stop the activity before someone got hurt.
If your Local, State, Federal representatives have not come out against one single Musk/Trump policy, nomination, strategy, budget cut, it’s time to call them out for what they are: Nazis
Don't forget to add alt text to the images you post so that people who use screen readers are able to understand what you're posting. Bluesky even has settings to prevent you from sending until you set it!
That truly is the letter of a dipshit. Record his name for future reference just in case you ever need a lawyer-to be sure you don’t hire him by mistake.
I’m annoyed by the letter too, but let’s be honest. Progressives would be quick (understandably) to condemn a conservative congressman if they made a similar “actual weapons” comment.
When the progressives instigate and participate in a coup (beyond their current participation level of sitting idly by), they can and SHOULD bring actual weapons to fight them. Not the same.
I am a firm supporter of the ballot. I also recognize that, historically, you can't stop a hostile, fascist takeover over a government by asking them to stop pretty please. It is imperative to exhaust every option before violence, but stating that you will never resort to violence is a mistake.
I don't know if it's true or not but a whole lot of people are saying that musk is a putrid lying treasonous rapist racist criminal who is destroying our Democracy.
I mean, a WHOLE lot of people are saying it.
Is that enough for me to warrant a letter, I hope I hope I hope?
AND Musk appears to have no real job title, government position, legal relationship with any actual government entity. So maybe seek specific clarification on Musk’s job title and position. Musk strongly appears as having no authority to enter secure federal buildings.
That’s because they’re both true Nazis, Trump’s father was a Nazi he was raised A Nazi and everyone knows musk is a Nazi I hope they both go straight to Hell.
That woman is a c*nt, and she can send me as many letters as she wants. Only an illiterate imbecile would treat that as something other than the metaphor it intended to be.
If she can't understand language that plain, she shouldn't be employed in the legal field.
We keep getting conflicting reports about whether he's an official or not, maybe that's part of the problem. Maybe they could investigate his actual standing, publish that to Congress and then we can decide the proper way forward.
This is all funny, however,
I disagree with the use of violence even if it’s just words. If it’s unacceptable for the right, it’s unacceptable for the left.
Or mailers with literal targets over democratic politicians' faces. Or the hundreds of other macro aggressions against their political opponents. They want to play this game?
I have spent my whole adult life listening to the GOP, of any era, threaten violence and use violent rhetoric. The entire cabal should be arrested and sentenced to looooooooong jail times.
I just had an intern at a Rep’s office post on my LinkedIn page that she was reporting me to the Feds for spreading misinformation about Trump and Elon

Proceeds to write the most unserious letter...
I will criticize Elon Musk as I damn well please.
A weak response gets you nothing.
Are you seeing these though?
Pretty sure one of the suggested templates will work well for Trump Regime treasonists…
"Dear Mr. Martin,
Speaking of dicks, suck mine.
Sincerely,
Representative Robert Garcia
U.S. House of Representatives"
As you well know, you are working for an adjudicated insurrectionist who obviously doesn't have a problem with weapons at his rallies.
In that same vein, I respectfully demand that you fuck off.
Sincerely,
A standing member of a co-equal branch of government.

"NUTS!"
Fuck you. Strong reply to follow.
I mean, a WHOLE lot of people are saying it.
Is that enough for me to warrant a letter, I hope I hope I hope?
I can't wait to see the winning entries.
Dear Ed,
This is incorrect. It is "President Trump, *whom* I call a dick."
I would be grateful if you might correct this error.
Most sincerely,
If she can't understand language that plain, she shouldn't be employed in the legal field.

She said she was going to report me to 🧵
I own the company.
The weird thing is she’s old & experienced.
She did this from her official confirmed account.
Reminds me of the people who threaten to report me and have me deported.
I live in Canada & am a natural born USA citizen 🤷♀️
