Jeremy your style and commitment to accurately reflecting the moment of a game, the environment it arrived in and was part of is unparalleled. I love your work comrade.
I'm glad you found a stable place to create and still have time for your personal side projects. It's been a real boon for those of us who love more academic approaches to talking about games.
In the games press, people often asked me when I'd make the move to game publishing, but I always felt that there weren't any studios where my skills would make sense. I'm VERY fortunate that someone eventually built a company that needs someone to write about game history and draw Castlevania maps
- Planned and designed the packages/merch for Axiom Verge 1+2, RIKI's NES games, and more
- Hand-drawn a bunch of video game maps for a beloved series (officially!)
- Led and laid out massive pack-in books for Scott Pilgrim, Monkey Island, etc.
- Worked with rad people
Hey, uh, don't forget the weighty tomes you have written, edited, and published! (Including one still open for pre-orders.) Press Run has been an incredible addition to LRG, and for gaming enthusiasts and historians.
My years adjacent to the games industry have been fraught with consolidation and layoffs, and the games biz is in awful shape right now, so I don't take my good fortune lightly. I promise to [checks notes] draw even more Castlevania maps* for you, for as long as I'm able
Big congrats, man! I'm grateful I got to be around for a couple of those years. It was legit exciting to see your works first-hand. Here's to many more!
