I had a SEGA Megadrive but yearned for a SNES. Used to go round my mate's house to play his! Have some great memories from the Megadrive tbf but the SNES was where it was at.
Mega Drive. I had both in my mid-late teens (was a Commodore kid before then) but only because they and their games were pretty cheap by then. I had a Mega Drive first and enjoyed (and still enjoy) its games the most.
Had SNES first and got a Genesis a little later purely because of Sonic; you couldn’t be a kid in that era and not think Sonic was awesome. I did prefer SNES to it though, and still do. I think the best SNES games still easily trump the best on Genesis.
SNES! I had access to Genesis when I was kid and the look and sound always felt off to me. The look and feel of SNES felt chef’s kiss, especially when DKC and Star Fox hit the scene. It blew me away.
Mega Drive.
Of course, that's why it still has a special place in my heart. But a SNES would have been fantastic, too, without a doubt.
Two awesome consoles that changed gaming.
Sega master system 2 and mega system 2 kid. I was born in 1984. So I am old enough to have played on both consoles. My younger cousins had the Sega master system 1 and Sega mega drive 1 so I got to play on those consoles as well whenever I visited them🥰
SNES. Mario World, Contra 3, Castlevania 4, Street Fighter 2 and later MegaMan X just gave me a stacked roster of games to want to play. Spent my entire savings from doing odd jobs in the summer of 1992 to buy a control set at the end of August.
When my uncle came to visit that Labor Day weekend and learned of my situation, he took me to Circus World in the mall and bought Contra 3 and Castlevania 4 for me and my brother to have something play and not have to rent all the time. Good times.
I loved both equally...Genesis had the blast processing and the SNES the mode-7. It was a magical time for me as a kid, comparing each game and their versions. Sometimes it was better on the Genesis and another time, on the SNES. What a time to be a kid.🥲
I first had a Sega Genesis and then I hated playing Sonic so much that we returned it for a Super Nintendo. 😂 I enjoy playing the Sonic games now for the most part, but I LOVE Nintendo!
I was an SNES kid. I always lived playing the Genesis at friends houses, but I’m glad my parents got me an SNES. Some of my favorite games and so many good memories come from that time
I was a Genesis kid. I had to choose between one or the other because we couldn't afford both at the time. I'd get a second-hand SNES later on, but I LOVED my Genesis!

Aqui no Brasil a SEGA era gigante graças a TecToy.
But the Super Nintendo library so good.
In retrospect I definitely prefer the SNES, but I appreciate the style of most games on the Genesis more.
Megadrive first, an import from Japan m, and then pal snes on day 1.
But by the time I turned 21, I had managed to get both of them in my collection.
Bought of neighbor, when he got an SNES.

Maybe one day.
Beating Castlevania 4 was a daily thing. While I didn't officially speedrun the game, I do recall I could do so in about 30 minutes time.
Anyways, I've rambled long enough.
