I think I somehow distinctly remember playing the Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros. 3 sometime in the early 2000s but I'm not 100% sure about that. I haven't touched that collection in a very long time but only because other interests of mine have been competing for my free time 😅

- The Lion King (from 1994)
Obviously I didn't play any of them in their release years as I'm from 1990 myself.😅
My parents sat me down and showed me Frogger on a C64 I think someone had given them. I didn’t understand it or why we had to play some awful tape first. I tried to run it myself later and it made a horrible screeching noise. The neighbor’s NES was way cooler.
It was space invaders on the Atari 2600. Unfortunately I didn't hang on to that console so I don't play it. I did recently find an arcade that had it and played it.
The first I remember very well is Psycho Fox on Master System for sure. But the very, very first... well it would be Fruity Frank, maybe ? Which was kinda old at time I discovered it (around '88 or '89).
It was i think either zelda or mario 1, and not regularly. I have in the past few years. If you mean like, do I still play them as a series... ehhhhh? I haven't finished a zelda since ocarina despite playing most of them, and haven't finished a mario since longer.
My earliest gaming memory was playing Moon Patrol on my family's IBM PC sometime in the 80s. I do still play the arcade version from time to time via Arcade Archives.
The original Super Mario Bros. I was in pre-school, so I could get in some game time before my older siblings came home. Good times! Thanks for reminding me of them this morning!
I'm on sonic Mania lately... Soo nostalgic.. i'm probably going to re-do sonic 1-2-3. I find these more interresting sometime than mario.. so much different path, so much speed.. so much power up. No Doubt I had had a genesis at the time. Today's retro pick : R0M hack TMNT / Street of rage fusion.
Other than Pong or pinball, the first video games I remember playing were Asteroids or Space Invaders. It seemed like overnight there were arcade cabinets everywhere.
It's some NES title to be sure but damned if I could recall which- pretty sure I was playing FF1 before I could properly READ so that gives you an idea of why I can't tell them apart.

Super Mario Brothers. Walked towards the Goomba, and pressed up on the controller to try and jump over it. I didn’t jump and was immediately killed. Then I was informed to use the buttons to jump. I wouldn’t press up on a controller to jump until Street Fighter Two and Mortal Kombat.

Not the VERY first. It was definitely an Atari 2600 game. My family already had one and I was messing around with it as soon as I could hold the joystick. It could've been any number of games. But my earliest memories are of playing Pac-Man, Combat, Pitfall, Superman, Space Invaders, and Donkey Kong

Yes, and I play the Sonic Origins port of it when I replay the original Sonic the Hedgehog, or the mobile version, but over time, I've played it less since even the additional gaming they add for characters like Knuckles is tattooed on the back of my hand. Rest in peace, classic Sonic.
I have a very faint memory of playing Burgertime on C64 with my dad. I haven't played in ages unfortunately. I think I may own it somewhere in one of its many forms though.
TMNT turtles in time. It was when I was really young maybe 3. It works well because my dad could play and progress while I just ran around mashing buttons 😂

One of the Mario games on the SNES. Before that, I was only allowed to watch and wasn't allowed to play because I was "too little." I haven't played Mario in years, but I have it.
Sonic the Hedgehog on Genesis. I was lucky because my family picked up a Genesis with 1-3 + Knuckles all at once from a friend of theirs. I still go back to all three from time to time.
Either pac-man, defender or missile command. MAYBE riverraid. The first time would have been at my father's friend's house. He had an atari 2600. Very early 80s. I haven't played any of them for a long time.
Dr. Mario at my grandparents house. My grandpa was a doctor and bought the nes and the game for himself. He's also the person that taught us about infinite lives in Mario Bros. Oh and yes I still play Dr. Mario.
I think Digger on my IBM PC-XT or Super Mario Bros on NES. It was when I was around 4 so my memory was very hazy. Yes I have both games still on my Anbernic handheld
This is a complicated question for me. What are you considering a video game? Do you consider the old Mattel Football handheld? If so that. If you are referring to anything played on a TV, that would be The Count on the Vic 20. If you are referring to dedicated consoles, Minestorm on the Vectrex.

My GBC was teal, and god damn I loved that thing. I was addicted to Tetris. And yes, I still play Tetris to this day.
