Don’t let anyone tell you this guy is popular or that the country is trending his way. Just isn’t true. Never was.

This chart shows how much of an outlier Trump is historically. Even Biden, who had the next highest disapproval when he took office, still had a plus-20 differential. news.gallup.com/poll/655955/...

This country did not learn from previous experience. This country has a vast majority of low functioning human beings.

And the country kinda did trend his way
Look, he’s an asshole, but you need to swallow this jagged little pill
If the country wasn’t trending his way he wouldn’t have the house, the senate, the popular vote, the presidency and the Supreme Court?
Jesus Christ, he won it all
You’ve got two years to get your shit in a pile
Biden literally was never liked and won on "I am voting against Trump" which only worked coming out of a Trump presidency.
We NEED to push hard to get people like AOC in power
Hillary was not popular with the general populace because she lacked any policies that interested them
Kamala had zero time to establish a platform, was attached to Bidens failures as his VP.
There is more but limited on space
Or something.
Resistance isn't futile.
Revolution is necessary.

He used social media fake accounts to fake support when he had none!
What I’m pointing out is there was no landslide. Not even close. And as soon as he was back in office for a week his approval sank 9 points.
Best: they’re letting the ‘children’ have what they want before everyone sympathy pukes and they come clean up. Worst: they’re the same side of the same rigged coin that always lands tails up. Their bit of that coin isn’t covered in grim like the other bit.
I don't like it so it is not true. I know that SOUNDS irrational. That's because it is.
I’m worried I didn’t phrase that with complete sensitivity. I’m not afraid of being told if that’s true.
I don't like the guy (and I'm not even American) but statistics don't matter.
you can poll every which way you want, he's in power and Americans are to blame
the thing is though, if one ticks a box, they voted for someone.
not voting or third party is always an option (granted, the US is mostly two parties).
ain't Biden's fault people voted for Trump

Lol
1/3 of the country is in his cult and 1/3 didn't care enough to peel their asses off the couch to vote against a bigoted fascist rapist
America is getting exactly what it deserves
He’s a piece of crap felon, who won everything bigly
Starting to think this democracy thing isn’t so great after all
Group A: Don't wash the windows with gasoline.
B: We like the smell!
B: Omg why is the house on fire?
You both have to put it out but one has to figure out how to stop the other from lighting the house on fire again.
Good propaganda: Wear a seatbelt. Don’t drink and drive. Don’t give that Microsoft IT guy a 500 dollar iTunes gift card.
Bad propaganda: Let’s slash the federal budget, Vaccine bad!
2. - it really doesnt matter outside of US if you support or dont, you put him in office and whole of US will be considered responsible for his actions
Trump is not an anomaly.
But this is bigger and affects all of us, even here in Europe.
If you're going to start criticising Trump, start with reality. Then maybe make your way into specific critiques actually unique to him and not more Trump panic.

Keep on living in denial if it helps you feel better.
You don’t have a left-wing in the US, McCarthy saw to that in the 50s ffs. It’s almost as if you’re commenting in bad faith or something.
Democrats SHOULD have ignored the filabuster and passed the John Lewis Voting Rights Act so this wouldn't happen.
Meanwhile, right now, he's somewhere blathering to someone about his "ratings" and having a better margin of victory than Reagan.
