The exporter might absorb some of the cost of the tariff, depending on a range of factors. More generally, the incidence of tariffs could fall on consumers, the importer, exporter, logistics companies, and middlemen. Within those, it could be divided amongst labour and capital. It's complicated.

Thanks, came here to say that. The commentary just shifts blame again. None of these participants in the supply chain operate on huge margins. Software can do 60%, but nothing tangible. Good plan, I boycott Walmart as a Cndn but feel kind of bad for the employees (whatever is left of them in stores) maybe this cross border switch shopping will keep some employed.👍💪
