But, the dude in the new Trivago commercial is annoying though. It's like he went to the Dentist and asked for the most squared away, large teeth to go with a mild overbite and it's irksome.
It's not just the teeth that all look alike but also what's with lipstick that isn't just on the lips but in an effort to make the lips look fuller they just make their own lip line with the lipstick. Looks a little bit silly to be. Like a little girl playing dress up.
I applaud people who don’t adjust their smiles. Your smile is a calling card.
Having teeth and a face like every tweaked and sculpted person leads to zero original appearance. Leaves the world a place with everyone following a path to sameness.
She's gorg! Her performance and role in Sex Ed were both phenomenal and her interviews since have been thoughtful and great. I hope she continues to get her due!
I have messed up teeth partially because of years of shitty orthodontics. Ended up destroying my lip less than a month ago in what would've just been an uncomfortable faceplant for someone else due to a rebounded tooth that wouldn't have been there w/o.
What is wrong with people’s own teeth. Why should everyone have the same size and color teeth. Mine aren’t perfect ( did not have braces), but I like my smile
The girl is beautiful. Women & men have been sold this idea of beauty that is completely unrealistic & fake! Makes some ppl end up desiring a fantasy. On top of being completely evil, maga is unremarkably fake. Kristi Noem is a case and point. Shes ugly! These people are fake from top to bottom!
British dentistry has been superior to US dentistry for many years. In the US population the mean number of missing teeth is 7.31, while in the UK it's 6.97.
UK dentistry is free and universal (although waiting lists are long), while the US relies on insurance, resulting in huge social inequality.
I think the US focus has been on cosmetic dentistry, so wonky or uneven-looking teeth seem noteworthy. Last time I checked, oral health was better in the UK than the US - UK dentistry focuses more on that which is medically necessary. I wouldn't suggest that UK dentistry is that great though.
💯 agree … I think she might be my favorite character .. I prefer natural beauty versus the fake straight teeth you see people get … you can tell they’re fake and it doesn’t look good .. and I think she’s gorgeous too
Blessed be... if I got veneers the little overlap chip where I hit my front tooth on the monkey bars would be gone and I wouldn't see me and my history in the mirror.
Oh gosh playgrounds were so dangerous at one time 🤣 lost both my front ones after trying to stop myself while I was on a swing and my foot got caught! Asphalt playground under the swings.. Great idea! Lol! Two root canals and two porcelain caps. I feel you!
See, in a war, (if we were ever in one....) I'd know the Americans by their teeth. How the fuck with the ridiculous medical system you have there you all decided veneers are the primary thing we want, I'll never understand with my happily imperfect yet functional teeth. (All Brits, Aussies, Canada)
Teeth are a very obvious class marker. Having bad teeth can affect your employability. I get why people stretch themselves thin to get their kids braces.
Buddy Holly and The Crickets were touring the UK. Before a show in Hammersmith, London Joe Mauldin knocked the caps off of Buddy's two front teeth during a scuffle.
Buddy repaired the damage with chewing gum and performed the second show with the gum spread over his front teeth.
Maybe kids in your country aren’t as mean as American kids. More than one bully growing up told me I should unalive myself because my smile was so disgusting. I got 4 veneers on my top front teeth to close my gap and hide my small tooth. Aside from my education, it’s the best thing I did for myself.
Her teeth are like the teeth of a child. In this world, where children are sexualized, she represents innocent sexuality. Some of you may be more paedophilic than you think.
I have crooked chompers and some years ago i was going to get them fixed. My husband was so upset with me. He loved my teeth! They gave me personality and beauty and individuality! So no changes done. I've grown to like them and see his point
The United States is under assault by corporate fascist forces looking to choke liberty and justice for all out of existence. In so doing they will make all problems even worse especially the climate. I have the answers that can take it all down. U + Me = We. https://youtu.be/lBsgHID4NL4?si=nx3pDxU4ZpPLz-_Y
Like don't get me wrong, keep hood oral hygiene, just its gonna be always weird to me to focus on someone else's oral care as any metric of beauty standards
I agree! I have an overbite, and my previous dentist wanted me to have a procedure to shift my jaw forward to correct it. No! I’m a woman, not a barracuda.
As someone who has been told MANY times over the years that I should get a nose job I salute her for keeping her natural teeth. Good for us, Aimee Lou.
Reminds me of the sister from Ferris Bueller's Day Off. She had a unique look in an industry where so many women have the same nose jobs. Then she got herself a nose job and basically disappeared into the woodwork.
Unique beauty is still beauty. And needs to be celebrated.
Sadly this class 2 bite is a periodontal risk thus risk of tooth loss. Greater risk of trauma. Difficulty eating and uneven tooth wear with chewing. This lady has the $$ for tx if need be down the road eg. Please have this kind of malocclusion fixed if you can. 🦷
The growing prevalence of overly white, unnaturally large, perfectly symmetrical veneers gives me this weird uncanny valley feeling. Obviously do whatever you want to your own body — I think they look good; just oddly alien. Too perfect.
I love people embracing natural human looking teeth.
That always bothered me about movies about the old west.
All of the cowboys and women have great looking teeth.
They get everything else right for the most part ( the clothes look too clean more often than not considering the way they lived back then ) but the perfect teeth are an anachronism.
Are you talking about the reality game show "Survivor" where the contestants are stranded in a remote exotic location somewhere in the World and competing for a cash prize?
Or is 'Survivor' part of the title of a tv series about an apocalypse?
As with our lovely ex Prime Minister of Aotearoa, New Zealand. Great teeth. She was the kindest one also. Unlike this asshole of a US President. https://images.app.goo.gl/C1rx1xLvbpHEE1E36
I'll admit, the first time I saw her teeth I was a bit put off. Just not used to them. But, by the end of the same scene, I thought she was adorable and still do.
My kids are weary of me yelling at the TV about actors/celebrities' veneers and how ridiculous they look and how people used to have "real teeth" and here they are again in all their glory. Finally <3
There's a lady at my local Hardee's that is single-handedly responsible for me losing 10lbs in the last month. Three front teeth bulging out of her face to the point where local beavers are disgusted. If she's at the drive-thru window, I lose my appetite.
Your teeth give you personality. Lots of celebrities choose natural teeth, look at Patricia Arquette… I love her teeth. The UK sort of gets a bad rap on teeth. Think Austen Powers..
The funny irony is that she stars in this series with Walton Goggins, whose veneers are so obvious they look like the gag/fake teeth you’d get in a Cracker Jack box.
Agree. When I see somebody with teeth that look “perfect”, I absolutely hold it against them and they need to prove to me they’re not a completely superficial person.
That’s my point, and, yes, you are beautiful! 😂 Women that have perfectly beautiful teeth think they need to strip them all out for veneers is crazy! On the other hand, you had a necessary need for your veneers, which the RIGHT way to replace them.
So I like stuff like this because it makes the characters feel more organic.
I relate most with celebs that look like normal people, except Jesse Plemmons being Matt Damon’s odd albino cousin who has mad game because he pulled K Dunst.
I agree! I just watched a commercial where this guy had comically big white straight teeth and you could tell he thought they were great and the ppl who did the commercial thought they looked great.. I'm just over here like.. He looks like he's gonna bite someone. 😬
Unfortunately, this makes perfect sense when you think of its actual societal function of setting the standards for normalcy and how far one is allowed to drift from it.
We see it as entertainment because that's what we get from it, but like flowers and bees, the nectar is just the lure.
For some reason the teeth & smile are the most attractive/sexy thing to me. Not perfect ones tho, I’m in love with the perfect imperfections. It’s the 1st thing i noticed about my husband and I’m still obsessed with his smile 15 yrs later

I'm watching all these shows/movies where people have perfect teeth and no dentists for 100 miles.
Fully support the movement away from them.
Focus, people, on what really matters!
Their age-old reputation for bad dentistry isn’t exactly a flex.
UK dentistry is free and universal (although waiting lists are long), while the US relies on insurance, resulting in huge social inequality.
I'll take your word on the stats.
So glad she never "fixed" that
front-tooth gap in her beautiful smile.
Buddy repaired the damage with chewing gum and performed the second show with the gum spread over his front teeth.
Shame people in 2025 are still entering into a lengthy discourse on a persons looks rather than their amazing talent

Its one of those things that will be creepy to me outside a dentist office. "You have really nice teeth" just makes me feel uncomfortable
Same goes with skin. Someone saying "Your skin is nice" just gives of serial killer vibes to me.
Make Hollywood real again!

"That'll be $8.54."
"Ew. Nevermind.
Bit distracting tbh🙄

She said I was odd, and then I told her she was odd for finding me cute.

Historically when the right is in power, the left attacks women’s appearances.
Shame on vanity fair 👎🏻
I also loved the space between Madonnas teeth.
