I’d see nearly most of my followers posts & those I followed.
Then came the big accts & the algorithm. There’s 1 particular acct from X I begged to come to @support.bsky.team
I regret it every day bc in 4 mths, I haven’t seen 1 post.
But the calculator app. I’m defending the calculator. Maybe because I’m an accountant :)
The point really is that it’s harder to get pulled in a TikTok rabbit hole on a TI-84 than a smartphone.
As Marie Condo once said, if it does not bring joy (or purpose), give it thanks and put it away.
It's lots better than Apple or Google at walking or cycling directions as it knows what are actual bike/walk routes are rather than using streets it's driven.

It does show you posts from friends in the chronological format in ‘Discover’ tab as well as just random users but it doesn’t exactly do it through an algorithm.

Really, revocation of user control is all over computing. When was the last time Windows had a No option in addition to Yes and Ask Me Later?
The profit motive destroys everything it touches.
