Some of us have multiple. We actual prize knowledge and wisdom and understand libraries and the literary world are necessary for humanity to evolve beyond creatures of habit.
I love Colorado. Any resident can get cards from other systems. Living rural this really helps with the ebook search. Currently have over a dozen I use on the regular.
My library card color codes the cards based on age groups. Mine is still purple (aka the toddler card) bc i never got it renewed and I refuse to renew it.
I once used my library card to get into my town's beer garden for the 4th of July celebration and parade. I went and got the sheriff and asked if this was good enough. Lol! He said, "Sure. Here's your wristband." It totally worked!
I loooooove the library! Why do we gatekeep libraries though? I have to go in person, show my ID, and can’t renew online. I want to pay for NY & CA libraries but can’t without going in person. Shenanigans.
