Still excites me after all these years. Fun memories.
Truly was my introduction to gaming.
That and Tomb Raider
It introduced me to the Dragon Quest franchise and I absolutely fell in love with it. I love the magical feeling in the game. I have now replayed it 5 times since I first played it in 2019.
just remembering how difficult was to play for me when I was little, for how difficult is! (and still difficult on these days) lolol
It was basically the first game I can remember playing. It was just something my grandad had on a disk, he didn't really like games. But as a 4ish yr old that was the spark that made me love video games!
More recent, Outer Wilds. I don't think any game has accomplished the same sense of adventure and mystery. A work of Art that couldn't be realized in any other medium.
First RPG I played on the original PlayStation
I also make games. But those are kind of more art projects, and not necessarily the kind of the games that are all the rage now...
I played it so much during my middle school and early HS years. It got me through rough times.
or Myst - my brother and I spent HOURS yelling at the screen because we couldn’t figure out what to do. Good bonding but lots of stress.
It was during the years where I hadn’t fully engrossed myself into every facet of the gaming world and was still discovering what was out there.
The story and world sucked me in and I must have played the campaign a hundred times or more. It's a very bright spot from my younger days and I will go back and replay those missions from time to time to this day
Also loved how it made you connect with every character by side convos and their own motives woven into the main story
This title was my 2nd MMORPG home and is where I made some really awesome friends and where I met my best friend! I also had many countless hours of adventure, challenging boss fights, massive glorious battles, and some really great memories. 🥹
Perfection.
It was game-changing at the time, the story and gameplay were amazing.
It was the first game I found, that you could connect with and play with ppl from all over the world. Especially at a time I needed that community the most. It was before World of Warcraft. I started playing in 1998? I think..
I played for a long time. Now there's free versions.
Sheesh, the days of dial up. 😂
Quit playin for 9 yrs, then played a free shard till two yrs ago, at 52.
Honestly I wish I could make time to go back. I could kill hrs to days just playing straight through the day. Hands down my fav ever game.
I can't tell you how fun it is. It's really not so complicated on them. ..
Whatever floats the boat atm as I always say.
I am going retro for a moment & playing through Gears of War 3 rn.
I'm feeling the need for a resurgence of fierceness inside me for now!
Back when I played with my sons, i have to admit i felt a certain pride when i got better then them at it. 😋
I'll try to go look. Doing my daughter's birthday today. 😁
I will do my utmost to get back to you.
I remember absolutely loathing UO's customer service myself. 😑
I don't think the hrs could be counted back. They shoulda paid Me! Lol
Crimson Cincture...
Lol, don't get me started! 😀
I soooo want to play. But just can't right now! 😭
That's Exactly what I did on the last freeshard I played on.
Totally one of my passions.
My sis always joked I should have been an interior designer/decorator in rl.
I just took it out on games.🤪
One time on my way to my house I saw a GIANT demon walking and talking with a counselor.
Talk about a Wtf moment. 😂
Giving away pieces of yourself, painfully dismembering yourself, to progress really resonated with me.
The story and the themes of gender, friendship, adulthood, love, and suicide were all very powerful.
I love the rich plot of the series and all the twists as well.
It was a huge catalyst of change for me. I took great inspiration from Yuna, and changed my entire personality because I realized how ugly I was on the inside and how selfish I was.
I regret nothing. Thank you, High Summoner Yuna! You made me beautiful inside!~
Also Terraria. Inspired me to try making games myself.
it means so much to me i have two tattoos dedicated to it: it's truly great, but im so attached to it because it got me through the worst time of my life. i was 14 and severely traumatized, so seeing teens who fight to punish their abusers and have their freedom back was everything to me♡
Spoilers:
When one of the main characters died, and was brought back by a long and convoluted quest involving time travel, cloning, and basically 'tricking' time, I decided that's what I wanted to do with my life. Except for everybody.
Miyamoto always COOKS 🤌✨
Halo 3 gets the runner up spot, though.
Even after seeing the 90s marvel animated shows, this is what really started my superhero obsession right before the mcu. Taught me tons of lore with the trivia games since I was too young to know about the storylines from the older comics.
Also Hancock and Valentine are there and I love them.
My first FF was Mystic Quest but I was too young to fully appreciate it. Named my son Benjamin though
Genshin Impact (Played with my family during the shutdown)
Space Channel 5 (The game with the music I still love)
Sonic on Sega Genesis ( Ya'll know why)
Zenless Zone Zero (Love the fight mechanics)
The Sims 1 ( First game I played for 24 hours)
Great childhood memories
