Netflix announced it will raise prices on most of its subscription tiers in the US and Canada after the streaming giant reported 19 million new subscribers in the last quarter of 2024.

My sister previously lived at my address, and I now share an address with my parents. All of us were on the 4-screen no-ads tier of Netflix together. When they started cracking down on password sharing, we re-evaluated whether it was worth it. My parents and I bailed, and my sister got...
...a one-screen subscription. So Netflix got one "new subscriber" but actually lost half the revenue from our family. I question if they're doing as well as they present to the world out of all this. Revenue would be a better measure than "number of subscribers" to see if this really benefits them.
Hmmmm, must have A L O T of old black and white movies from 1950's. Well, that and docuseries on " FUN TALES ABOUT HITLER FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY " or the ever popular " THE GIDDY HITLER YOUTH ",
This is just the beginning. Now all corporations and health insurance companies are going to be raising prices. I for one am taking a deep dive into finances and cutting expenses where I can.
this isn't a necessary service and honestly it hasn't been that great in years. HBO has been creating a lot of great content, perhaps it's time to go back.
Funny how that works. Netflix gains millions of new subscribers—takes in tens of millions of dollars more in added revenue and then raises rates on top of that.
wow i’m flummoxed!!! they never raise prices!!! guess it’s worth it to watch The OA—wait, i mean Sense8—ope i mean Santa Clarita D—no, sorry, GLOW—no wait i mea
Yet another example of #corporategreed.
Be curious what their senior management bonuses look like this year.
Can a bonus be in the billions? Have we reached that plateau yet?
Oh, it’s the American Way, Netflix got all kind of different subscribers 19 million of them and now they’re gonna raise the price. That’s the American way that’s the greed that runs across this country greed in America the American public is getting screwed by greedy companies.
I wonder how many of the kids screaming about corporations and oligarchs will cancel their subscriptions? A simple, small act of defiance.
Nationwide I'd say....six.
What's the sense in having the service if eventually it costs as much as cable? When this first started, it was touted as an alternative to cable -- with cost savings. Now that it is mammoth, they're starting to become excessively GREEDY. -ONE.💯📺
Might wanna talk to your friends at WWE since they went exclusive with Netflix right before this convenient price gouge. Perhaps there was something in it for everyone? Except consumers, of course.
The constant pursuit of more profit isn’t struck by the law of diminishing returns often enough.
They will increase prices just enough to gain more profit but not so much as to annoy the masses causing many to cancel.
Let’s see if the customers enjoy the stated cause: “programming investments”.
This is why I only subscribe for a couple of months max. Watch the stuff I want, and cancel! It's almost all the same stuff across all the apps anyways
Just in time for everyone to binge-watch the latest series and feel the pinch of an empty wallet! Wonder if the new prices come with a side of 'don’t forget to share your password' warning.

More, always available content. No landlocked bullshit. No cost.

Not worth the current price, imo.
With very few exceptions, their original programs suck.
Everything I used to watch on Netflix is now on Tubi for free.

But yes! Always do your research because it’s all ever changing! 💚
I’ve offered alt platforms & resources to do so
I’d appreciate anyone seeing this to take a look, all I ask is share it with someone
We propped them up, we can take them down 💚
We have no one to blame but ourselves…
Too many price hikes
Corporate greed in America is at an all time high!
