The Grinch was a book and a nice cartoon you would see among holiday specials and it was sweet, a message about how Christmas comes from the heart. And now. Grinch merchandise every year to the point of nausea because that was such a great message and this is the licensed hell we live in

It is very ironic though.
I don’t think the Grinch hated this idea, but instead the commercialization of it. Now his image is part of that.
I also hate the miseducation > healthcare professional > pharmacology > insurance > addiction > homelessness pipeline.
Grinch was comedic version of modern Scrooge.
And now it's everywhere - and at high prices.
Sometimes I wonder why we don't have better consumer ed - take a deep breath, think about it for days - at least hours - before shelling out hard earned $ on pap.
Theorize that maybe they’d decided Santa is bad, but the Grinch is okay because there’s a vaguely Christian-ish message to the story. The hobby lobby ads are grinch-crazy.
Yup I'm the problem too.
Might as well be the Lorax, murder all of Seuss's legacy together.
Shortly after, though, I was finding items that were overpriced… with poor reproductions of the characters.
Cat in the Hat Pocket Watch- with crappy print job? I put it back. Salesperson agreed. Even on sale…no.
I wholeheartedly agree with you.
Also me: … crap. I am the problem.
The sweater is a bit much.
"Maybe Christmas", he thought "doesn't come from a store? Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more?"
All this Grinch merch has him in absolute heaven…
party grinch
does whatever a
party grinch does
Yet you can buy a replica of that very same tree now
It came without tags.
It came without ribbons, boxes, buuuuuuut
Not without this branded Grinch tote bag now on sale baybeeee.
damn these licensed IPs
And love dares you to care for
The people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves
This is our last dance
This is our last dance
This is ourselves
Under pressure
He's an arrogant lazy glutton mean cat

Guess it doesn’t matter what I do from now on or how I grow, people will always see me for what I used to be.
That's marketing I guess
It’s about the presence of a
Savior.
Priceless…
Dr. Seuss disputed casting Boris Karloff for fear that he would make the Grinch too scary.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966)

his Etsy blew up and he was in a cinch!
Cheap foreign labor with a publicity plateau?
Why it helped him pay for a ski lodge and matching chateau!
The Grinch is ubiquitous - that means everywhere you see!
Because he learned the secret of profitability.
Also I think there is even a day for Walmart employees for wearing the Grinch shirts this year. It's weird really. Both franchises.
Btw... Grinch is boss
Every Who down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot,
But the Grinch, who lived just north of Whoville, did not.
consumerism killed it
And the license owner’s small wallet grew three sizes that day.
I literally don't understand who paid for that. Or why.
For me, it’s a small symbol of my distaste for the commercialization of Christmas. It does so without offending others.
I speak for the SUVs!
During WWII, Seuss was a political cartoonist who made lots of hilarious comics lampooning Hitler. He also made many about the Japanese.
In "Horton Hears a Who," Horton is powerful enough to destroy the Whos.
Ignore the noise and have a merry Christmas.
Cute, sure..
Not 99$ cute.
Fukkin' elf on a shelf for 33$??
Seriously?
