I live here 🙌 Maitake season is over, unfortunately! My advice to hunt Maitake is to go to mature oak forests and look at the base of the big trees, if you hunt for a half hour with no luck go to another forest, if you do find one keep looking because they grow in groves

I tried going to the old growth forest near Kalamazoo last year but I didn’t have any luck.
