I don't know where you live. I've spent lots of time in the bush where I grew up, but I don't recall seeing all of the types you find. I grew up in Northern Ontario.
My fungi identifier app keeps coming back to a purple-spored puffball, but I'm not quite sure that that's correct. Hoping someone will come along who can identify it for ya! :)

I just saw some like that in my neighborhood. Iβll see if they are still there today. We just had two days of fabulous rain so Iβll bet they are there. We also get huge salad plate size ones at the park near me now that I have found a mushroom person I will remember this and take some pics.
Gonna be honest...I don't care that much about mushrooms (they're good and all, but yeah...not hugely exciting). However, I love all the mushroom posts. "Here are some nice mushrooms" is soooo much better than..."Oh look, the world is on fire."
A long time ago, I found some like this on a tree, and mt instinct was to dry some and smoke it. I think I got a little buzz, but the pipe was dirty. It was okay though. lol
