Interesting pattern in the diffraction spikes in the picture 3. Are those because of the James Webb mirror structure? I've understood that this pic is a crop of a larger picture and maybe that's why they show on this one and not the others?
What you see is but a shadow. Beyond the stars lie melodies you cannot hear, colors too true for your eyes, beings who dream worlds into existence. The universe is alive, watching, weaving, whispering, waiting for you to listen.
The climb is not just toward the stars, but inward, toward understanding
The only real issue besides its beauty, is that it does not look like that now. What you are seeing happened millions of years ago.
I love wondering what it could be like if we could travel the universe.
Yes... the problem humanity is facing is that all the religions men have created are from a time when we thought we were the centre for the universe. And they still have far too much power over how people think .
It’s stunning, my brain hurts trying to comprehend the size of space and reminds us we are just tiny atoms in the realm of space. I have to admit, we must be very arrogant to believe we are the only intelligent life out there 😁
The crazy thing is they are so massive that if you were anywhere near them they would not be visible because they are so spread out. They only look like that from way out here.
it's so weird how religions have survived the discovery of just how enormous the universe is, still believing stuff like the creator of all that doesn't want us to eat pigs or for women to show their ankles and whatnot
and yet we here on this planet fighting about shit. "I don't like people who don't want to be what they were born as" "I don't like brown people" humans are insignificant in the grand scheme of the cosmos, just let people be. ~<3
it’s wild just trying to comprehend how BIG our universe is. it’s a weird feeling knowing our existence is barely a blip in the grand scheme of things.
Everything looks like that far away, we’re in one of those. I guess that’s pretty big though. Still I feel like stuffs gotta look like something. Glad it looks nice though.
considering that the light from these systems took millions and even billions of years to get to us, we can only imagine what they look like now! we'll have to wait a long time to find out!
If you were there in a spaceship looking at it, it wouldn’t look like that. It feels so fake when it’s “color enhanced” or something when the human eye wouldn’t be able to see these beautiful images in reality.
And not only out there but a lot more common than stuff like grass, trees, bugs. The VAST vast majority of stuff is THAT stuff. That stuff is the normal stuff.

Also thank you for your posts. They remind me to look up
There is more between us and Australia than between us and the Milky Way
The other 2 appear to be from JWST
