The worst person in the U.S. is also the luckiest. That’s what so many are struggling with, it doesn’t fit the justice narrative we’ve believed in — and to have to live through a sequel…
"...the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."
Though it’s not all luck that has helped him with his Teflon image. It’s that he has surrounded himself with people as unethical as he is. Willing to lie, cheat, and destroy justice, equality, democracy, etc., in order to benefit themselves. It’s a problem that we are producing so many of his ilk.
Bully? Dems been lying, cheating and stealing the past 8 years to A.) Subvert his administration, and B.) Remove him from office. His re-election is a repudiation of leftist attempts at totalitarian government control. No, I will not acknowledge your pronouns.
In real life McFly doesn’t punch Biff and gets power over him. In real life McFly votes Biff out but Biff and his billionaire friend cheats so he wins. McFly doesn’t fight against Biff’s cheating and cowards down like a scared rat. Biff gets the last laugh. 😢
"An adjudicated oath-breaking insurrectionist, Mr. Trump is constitutionally disqualified under Sec. 3 of 14th Am from taking the oath as president on 1/20/25 unless 2/3 of both houses lift the disqualification." Professor Lawrence Tribe
The U.S. president has a duty to 'protect' the country.
I’m with you. I am so tired of this orange maniac that I am physically tired. I can’t watch the news when he’s on, can’t stand to see his name printed anywhere. I can’t wait for the day that I can celebrate his demise. We were so close.
The problem is that the world and real life isn't a story. The good guys don't always win in the end. We are incrediblty lucky to have lived in the few societies, after WWII, where the less bad guys were calling the shots (most of the time). But that's not a rule. The opposite is generally true. :(
Is it wrong to want the bully to know tragedy, human suffering, and accountability that most of us on the planet must endure. I want one drop of humility....not just for the bully to lose.
It truly is a long story. A story of them that got vs. them that don't. Continuing the seemingly endless story of the fragility among the wealth class.
Because the bullies have united: rapist racist crooks in charge of everything now.
Maybe they will turn on each other eventually but for now we are playing on a field that favors the bad guys.
Oh yeah. I have to go re-watch all those old Columbo and Mannix episodes and find the ones where the crook has rich folks taint the judges and court systems and walks away thumbing their nose at the rule of law. Oh, and becomes president. Again.
It’s the little boy who cried wolf, the emperor with no clothes, and a few more all wrapped in one. How can so many be so blinded by such a blustery hateful phony?
To keep us engaged. The assignment always was to form a more perfect union. A phrase that implies the progress of the American experience is never complete, and the country should always strive to improve and refine its union.
We need a bully because for four years, the world has bullied us. They've dragged us into wars we don't want. They've pillaged our coffers, and mass invaded our lands. We can't have weakness again in the White House. We need a bully to push back against these other bullies.
It seems like forever…I’m starting to forget how wonderful it was to be able to speak to people, to have conversations at family gatherings. It seems like far too long. I miss that UNITED States. We are the divided states of kakistocracy.
It's really sad, but will this guy ever actually have to pay? I feel like, if the criminal cases are still hanging over his head in 2028, he just won't step down. He will find a way to cheat his way out of accountability.
Disgusting abuse of our system. But hopefully, history will remember him.
Trump's administration will go down in history as one of the most corrupt in our history. Shame on us for electing him by the slimmest of margins. We have work to do to rectify in 2 years.
I think one reason this one goes on so long is that we are not introducing the hero characters properly. They need more exposition, to be successful. If you only write about the antagonist, then the protagonists do not get a chance to fulfill their role in the story.
Agreed! In game theory, the defectors always lose in the end. But that's after millions of simulations. So it takes a minute. But they die out eventually by devouring each other.

*sigh*
This one is almost over.
The U.S. president has a duty to 'protect' the country.
It's way less exciting, though.
and no wishcasting (honest!)...
...I say...2 years-ish.
4+ years is unsustainable.
Your best guess?
Maybe they will turn on each other eventually but for now we are playing on a field that favors the bad guys.
White people always back the bully.
This election was rigged.
Disgusting abuse of our system. But hopefully, history will remember him.
You are surrounded by protagonists! May the good guys win and may hope rise in glory.
