Guarantee you he hasn't even considered the ramifications of leaving NATO. Why would those countries allow our nukes there under US control? Or ground military bases? Or allow us to use their air space? Leaving NATO massively damages the US Military's ability to respond to any issue.

It also severely weakens the West as a unified defence force. Which is exactly what Putin wants. IMO we shouldn't allow non-allied foreign military bases on our soil (and the US clearly isn't an ally anymore), but I'm aware that the US' military presence in Europe, acts as a deterrent for Putin.

Canada and the rest of NATO need to get out of NATO and create a new group excluding the US. We helped after 9/11 and we are getting spit on for our help. Every time he disrespects our PM I am filled with rage. We need to cancel ALL contracts with US companies. Scorched earth is the only way forward

One hundred and seventy-nine UK soldiers died in Iraq alone after 9-11, after the US invoked Article 5. More than 3000 were injured. That is just the UK's casualties, in ONE war. I've not touched on Afghanistan, or the casualties that other NATO member states suffered.
