The most striking thing about the LA protests is how many people just dropped everything to show up and yell at federal agents. There are people in suits, and carrying dogs, and wearing flip flops or bike helmets.

People in smaller cities need coordinated planning to have any effect. We should be seeing more protests in the bigger cities. There's plenty of reasons to be an angry mob these days.
On the train out, it was surprisingly full (Saturday evenings are very quiet at the airport) and people got on at every stop.
It took a lot longer for people to figure it out this year.
Theory can be talked about til we're all dead and beyond, the real work of gettin shit done is gonna happen spontaneously and joyously.

Most Californians actually believe in things like diversity, equality, inclusion and accessibility. We know that most immigrants are not the enemy. They are neighbors, friends, relatives, co-workers and contributing community members.

Shout out to the Dads who showed up with leaf blowers to blow the tear gas away from the protestors <3 we should all still wear our own PPE to guard against gases, but that was so cool of them
