Much work is needed to learn why voters who supported Dems in the past stayed home & why too many who voted D in the past took a flyer on Trump. But I'm certain, none of them wanted to pardon the Jan 6 traitors who assaulted police, fire top FBI investigators, or pick a trade war w/ Canada & Mexico.

No incumbent party or president is going to persuade people that they’re the best choice, when people are having to choose between rent, food & healthcare.
It was obvious from day one that Harris would lose. Awful candidate who couldn’t engage with people.
It doesn't take a genius to work out that the system isn't working for the vast majority of people. Why would you vote for continuity?
Especially when the outcome is predictable.
Ask any of them if they think all of that is worth what they expect to get from Trump's presidency, and they will all say "Yes".
That's. What. They. Fucking. Wanted.
Literally nothing that has happened so far, with the exception of the DOGE squad overtake of the fed, has been a moderate surprise.
Trump won the popular vote. Whatever happens in the next 4 years is what the people wanted.
And a lot of other Dem voters probably stayed home for the same reason.
America is a misogynist cesspool.
It happens all the time.
My wife was deregistered around September, and there was no way to fix it. Even at the election board. She just didn't get to vote...
They voted for it.
We can conclude that this is what they wanted.
26% of those who switched from Dem to Rep did it because they are fed up to the back teeth with wokeism
Dems brought it on themselves with the massive endorsement of the worst reality-denying revisionist self-righteous woke bullshit
“I’m not Trump, vote for me idiot”
it was cowardice.

They get no pity.
Keep looking, keep looking… eventually bound to find a mirror.
Take into consideration voter roll purges, new voter ID laws, voters turned away at the polls, ballots not counted, etc.
THEN, look at campaigning on raising the federal minimum wage just for 8 Senate Dems to vote it down.
Yep. Need a genius here.
