I don't think it's true that the underlying issue is matter of intelligence, and, respectfully, I don't think it helps communication to use insulting or demeaning words.
I think the problems are misinformation, faulty beliefs, and, perhaps, intentional deception (though I hope not on the last one).

I’m convinced that stupid people love AI because AI actually IS better at writing, searching for information, etc…than they are. They can’t fathom that there are people who do things far better than AI.
