Could've avoided a "humiliating backtrack" if they had taken a second to think about the repercussions of cutting already hard to get PIP payments. Labour should never have been forced into a U turn, because they should never have proposed cuts in the first place.

I know their manifesto was ‘no tax increases’ but the world has changed and I think most of the public get that. They need to grow a pair (I’ll let you decide of what) and tax the super-rich.
Unless there is a devious master plan that I’m not clever enough to understand, this is yet another mistake that could have been nipped in the bud before it ever got this far.

Which makes blanket cuts even more indefensible.
Tax the rich.
Where are their political instincts? They have been completely unprepared for the reaction to all of their measures. Are they just a bit out of touch? If so, give the job to someone else who is in touch.
Just what do Starmer/Reeves/McSweeney think they’re doing? These are not the actions of a Labour government.
