strongly agreed with Cara. some of y'all talk like you have hidden a spare population of unproblematic, unpropagandized people to build a mass movement out of under your couch cushions or something.

It reminds me of my first labor organizing job when my trainer said "The thing that's different about labor is that you just have to organize who's here" and to some extent, the older I get, the more I realize that's true everywhere.

I see a lot of scolding of allegedly intolerant libs, but I’m not seeing the libs.

This would have made me laugh if it wasn’t so serious.
The first thing that comes to her mind about Trump is that he’s a terrible racist, and she’s a reliable Dem voter
Much more useful than someone who tiptoes around rude words but votes GOP for tax cuts
it’s not hard to look for groups in your area to join and support the work THEY KNOW HOW TO DO while learning how to do it
it takes humility to both understand that and seek to correct it
Movements aren’t built from ideal specimens but from the flawed, the learning, the persuadable.
If the bar is perfection, enjoy irrelevance.

Idk if anyone else has noticed this but on BSKY the little progressive vs liberal vs leftist vs who cares infighting is almost exclusively performed by the white men.
I’m just saying.
* = unless it involves people I find annoying
But we got some male egos that get priority every gotdamm time so I dunno. I'll message with my lady voice.
I am:
Ignorant of “their” seemingly irrational ways in the world
(& trying hard to not be judgy)
Embarrassed that we failed big groups of voters
Tired. Sad. Frightened.
