You can subscribe to lists that are automatically updated. Some are automated & some are manually curated.
When you subscribe to a block list, accts included / added are automatically blocked for you

Hashtags index posts into larger conversations (eg #IDSky) similar to Twitter
There are also Feeds (to which you can subscribe) that will pull in any posts with a defined keyword (without hashtag) or icons

You can apply a label to your account so users can easily see which field you work in
